In November Atomic Mass (who have taken over Star Wars Legion from Fantasy Flight Games) dropped news of a new game and released a teaser trailer - Star Wars: Shatterpoint which is a new games system coming in 2023.
The game is expected to narrative driven, and be more character based rather than the squad based Star Wars: Legion. Given the success of Marvel Crisis Protocol, we suspect it will be a Star Wars themed version of that game or something very similar.
In the video we think we spotted the following characters: Ahsoka Tano, Bo-Katan Kryze, Lord Maul, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Assaj Ventress, Count Dooku, Captain Rex, General Grievous, Luminara Unduli, Barriss Offee, Jango Fett, plus a couple of B2 Battle Droids, B1 Battle Droids, Clones, Magna Guards, Death Watch Super Commandos and a Super Tactical Droid.
This puts it clearly in the Clone Wars Era (our favourite!), though time will tell if characters from the other films make an appearance.
Currently only the core game has been announced, but details of the box contents and full range of on-release products is expected mid-January 2023.
The Official Release Date is for the core set.
Due to insufficient stock the initial expansions (not the core set) will be delayed until the 16th for online retailers, though in-store "Bricks & Mortar" shops should get their stock on the 2nd. So B&M will release all on the 2nd, while online will launch the core set on the 2nd and the expansions on the 16th.
