I love board n strategy games - and this one is both. What`s not to like?
Took the step up from 1.0 and bought myself two core sets to kick things off. Changes are really nice. Buying new ships is addictive though....you have been warned. However, compared to other tabletop games, the cost of expansions is a lot less. So getting a table ready "fleet" is much cheaper than buying a full army from other tabletop games.
Was looking to make the jump from 1.0 to the current 2.0 so the starter set was a great place to start!

This was my first purchase of this series of games and on the whole, I like it. I played with my son on 14 years and we started well and the new rules seem to bring a lot more depth to the game. I was a little disappointed to find that the base game doesn't actually come with enough miniatures or equipment cards to be able to play the recommended game/squad size. It feels engineered in such a way to get you to buy more miniatures to be able to play a fully balanced game. I expect to have everything I need in the box from day once when I buy a full game set.

I read quite a few reviews of this game saying how good it was, and at the price it is offered at on this site I thought I'd give it a go. I was not disapointed! Me and my son (9) are addicted to it already, the quick start rules are easy to pick up and it is really easy to scale up to using the full rules.Great price and super quick delivery. I'll definitely be buying more soon!
Really enjoy this game. Fast to pick up with quick start rules. Fast action gameplay with lots of easy to understand options. Impressed with the quality of the card stock and detail on the minis. Well worth the money.
Bought on a whim when I bought Armada. 3 nice pre painted model ships that each have a number of pilot and equipment variations to keep even the basic starter set interesting for a few games at least. Rules are fairly straight forward but I assume become quite a bit more complex as you start adding different ships and card. Not sure how much long term appeal as of yet though as there is really only one game objective and thats death match. I prefer something a little more varied objective wise normally. I think as a once in a while game though its quite nice as its fairly quick to set up and finish a game. Its also a pretty cheap starter set for a fantasy flight game. (although the expansion ships are of course where you spend the money)
Great price super quick delivery and even better the plain packaging means hubby hasn’t seen his Christmas present
