The Rebel Transports Expansion Pack introduces a flotilla of GR-75 medium transports to your games of Star Wars™: Armada. In addition to its flotilla, which you can field as either a pair of GR-75 Combat Retrofits or GR-75 Medium Transports, the Rebel Transports Expansion Pack introduces eight upgrades, four of which feature the utilitarian Fleet Support icon. Relay commands to your larger ships with a Comms Net, or trail behind your largest ships with Repair Crews to keep them in the fight a bit longer.
Clever use of the support your fleet gains from its Rebel transports can easily make the difference between victory or defeat. The Rebel Transports Expansion Pack contains two GR-75 medium transport miniatures, two ship cards, eight upgrades, one rules reference card, and all necessary components.
The counterpart to the Galactic Empire's Imperial Assault Carriers Expansion Pack, the Rebel Transports Expansion Pack introduces a flotilla of GR-75 medium transports. You can then field these ships as either GR-75 Combat Retrofits or as GR-75 Medium Transports, the first ship in Armada to have no inherent ship-to-ship combat capability.
Still, for what it lacks in its own punch, the Rebel Transports Expansion Pack more than supplies in support. As with the Imperial Assault Carriers Expansion Pack, four of the eight upgrades in the Rebel Transports Expansion Pack feature the Fleet Support icon. This means you can use a flotilla of GR-75 transports to relay commands to your larger ships with a Comms Net, or you can trail behind your largest ships with Repair Crews to keep them in the fight a bit longer. And that can make the difference between victory or defeat. After all, even one additional round of fire from your Home One is easily going to outstrip the contribution that nearly any other Rebel ship could have made over the course of two or three rounds.
This is not a complete game experience. A copy of the Star Wars: Armada Core Set is required to play.

One of the most important factors of a Fleet is the number of activations you have(i.e. the number of ships you have on the board).
For the same point cast as a squadron these Transports give you that activation edge - allowing you to delay using your flagship until after the enemy has already moved and allowing you attack and move into a better position.
These little flotillas have both the Scatter and Evade defence tokens - making them incredibly hard to kill at long range.
With the Fleet Support upgrade type (unique to them) they can boost your squadrons with the bombing command centre or transfer tokens to your other ships with a comms net.
Every fleet gets great value from bringing along two Transports.
