  Customer Reviews

This bundle consists of 3 separate small sized ruins and are part of the Siege of Castograd collection of Gothic style terrain / scenery, and is ideal for tabletop miniature games such as 40K and Star Wars Legion.

These are the ruins of the Imperial Hab Building (available separately as a complete un-ruined building, and larger ruins of this building are also available), and provide cover across one level.  Can be mixed with the large Hab ruins.

Terrain Scale

This terrain can easily be used for Star War Legion (32mm), Infinity (28-32mm), Warhammer 40k (28-32mm), Cyberpunk (28-32mm), and Fallout Wasteland (32mm) as well as any other miniature based games of around the 28-32mm scale.

Print Quality

These items are 3d printed and as such some "layer lines" will be visible.  We supply these with 2 Quality choices:

  1. Standard quality.  This is the normal quality and while vertical surfaces, such as walls the layers aren't as obvious, on curved or sloping surfaces such as the arches and roofs the layers will be noticeable.  Choose this option if you want a budget option and aren't that fussed about the obvious layers.  To be honest, once the models are on the table even the obvious layer lines such as the example below aren't that noticeable unless you have really good eyesight!
  2. Premium quality.  This is a much higher quality print.  Vertical surfaces will be better than standard quality, though not hugely.  But the details will be much sharper.  The other main difference will be on the roofing, doors and other sloped / curved surfaces which will look much better.  Very fine layer lines will still be visible if you look really closely, but otherwise they're much less noticeable.  Choose this option if you really want them to look like they're not 3d printed and/or if you want to paint them.  Some models such as the example below it will be more noticeable because of the uneven surface, the non-ruin models will look better than these.

The "ruins" models show the differences better than the other models due to the highly uneven surfaces
of the rubble and wall tops.  Details such as control panels and pipes are sharper in premium quality.

The reason for the extra cost on the premium quality prints is the extra printing time required.  Even with our super fast printers, at standard quality the Siege of Castograd buildings take between 1 (warehouse) to 4 (town hall) days to print running non-stop.  For Premium quality it is more than double!  For the buildings we can split the parts across multiple printers to speed things up, but then it's tying up multiple printers.

All items are supplied unpainted, and the models are supplied in light grey colour.  Some items may require some minor cleanup prior to use.  The Siege of Castograd terrain collection is designed by War Scenery and we are licenced by them to print and sell this collection in the UK.  If you have your own 3d printer and would prefer to print your own terrain you can purchase the individual STL files directly from WarScenery.com.
